Papers are published in The EPJ Web of Conferences.
Conference papers are indexed in Thomson Reuters (ISI) Web of Knowledge and SCOPUS.

The conference will focus on obtaining an overview of projects under investigation, and experimental methods used in the field of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Its aim is to organize a network of young research workers who are interested in experimental, and also theoretical, work in the field of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. The conference should contribute to creating the closer contacts and sharing experience in application of various experimental methods, preparation and implementation of experiments, processing of results and numerical simulations of experiments.

The conference should contribute to creating the closer contacts and sharing experience in application of various experimental methods, preparation and implementation of experiments, processing of results and numerical simulations of experiments.

The main topics of the conference are:

Acceptance and publishing of papers

Papers (in English) which have been accepted will be published in the proceedings and on CD ROM.

For the purpose of publishing a paper in the proceedings, it is necessary to upload it at efm.kez.tul.cz before 9th September 2018. The paper must be in the format corresponding to the sample published on the web pages of the conference (*.doc or *.docx format). Your paper should not exceed the size of 20 MB.

Early payment of the registration fee for authors of papers is before 9th September 2018. The registration fee may be paid also later after this date (publishing participants until 1st November 2018). If the registration fee is not paid, the paper will not be published. It is essential that receipt or confirmation of the bank transfer of registration fee to the conference bank account to be delivered to the organizers of the conference immediately after the transaction (please, send a letter or an email).

Non publishing participants may pay the registration fee at beginning of the conference.

The official language of the conference is English.

Keynote lectures

Petr Kulhánek

Petr Kulhánek Studied Mathematical Physics at Charles University. Ph. D. in 1987. Assoc. Prof. in 1996. Professor of applied physics at ČVUT in 2005. Member of the faculty council of GA AVČR (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic) Physics of Earth and Space (2006-2008), member of the Council of the Center for Theoretical Astrophysics of AVČR (2007-2012), member of editorial board of 4 physical journals, member of the International Astronomical Union, Czech Astronomical Society, Chairman of the Symposium of Plasma Physics and Technology for several years, founder of the Aldebaran Group for Astrophysics. Pavel Psota

Pavel Psota Pavel Psota, a research scientist at Technical University of Liberec and metrology group leader at the Research Centre for Special Optics and Optoelectronic Systems (TOPTEC), has worked on various interferometric measurement techniques for over 10 years. In 2015 he completed a PhD in Applied Sciences at the Technical University of Liberec with thesis on investigation of vibrations by means of time average digital holography. The focus of his recent research is on the development of digital holographic or interferometric methods for temperature fields measurement including holographic tomography for 3D fields, characterization of internal structure of ferroelectrics by digital holographic microscopy/tomography and his current effort is mostly concentrated on absolute measurement by interferometry and digital holography using multiple wavelengths and interferometric methods for measurement of aspherical and freeform optical surfaces.

Kazimierz Peszyński

Kazimierz PeszyńskiBorn in Poland, obtained his master’s degree in 1974, as well as later the CSc.
